In our latest blog, we chat with our Finance & Compliance Assistant, Piotr Dubyk.
Hi, Piotr. Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?
I am currently a Finance and Compliance assistant for Ford Rental program, which I started on 28 of April 2025. Primarily I manage the sales ledger, ensuring all transactions related to Ford dealers and some of our subcontractors are processed accurately. Another part of my role is monitoring the Finance email inbox. This requires constant attention though the day to ensure all incoming queries are addressed promptly and professionally. As I am new to the role, I am still actively learning across all areas of the finance department whenever needed.
What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
In the past I worked in a Mercedes-Benz warehouse, in the dispatch department. This is my second job in automotive industry, and I love every part of it.
How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
My journey with One Nexus began in October 2022 as a reservation agent in the Customer Service department. It was quite challenging at first, as I had never worked in customer service before. However, I quickly learned how everything worked and soon started training on KIA Rental and Nexus Mobility solutions so I could assist those departments when needed.
After two and a half years in reservations, an opportunity arose for the Finance and Compliance Assistant position as maternity cover. I applied and fortunately was offered the position!
What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
There are many things I enjoy about my job, but the biggest is the people. Everyone is so kind, motivated, and incredibly helpful. On my first day at One Nexus, I was a bit nervous since it was my first office job. However, the training was very well organized and the team was always ready to help. I asked a lot of questions, and they were patient and supportive throughout.
As a new member of the finance team, I needed a lot of guidance and everyone made the process so easy for me. They made me feel like I truly belong here. I am very grateful for that.
What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
To be honest, I applied for the Customer Service job at One Nexus because I wanted to try something new. My previous jobs didn’t offer real opportunities, and I often felt unfulfilled. Here at One Nexus, I feel truly appreciated. The management takes great care of their employees and provides opportunities and support for growth within the company. It’s the best company I have ever worked for.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Outside of work, I love swimming and playing video games. I’ve been into gaming since I was a kid and it’s one of my favourite ways to relax. I also enjoy travelling, reading, and going out into nature for a good hike, especially in the forest. It’s a great way to recharge.
Finally, what is one thing you would like readers to know about yourself or One Nexus that they might not know already?
One thing I’d love for people to know is that One Nexus really feels like a family. It’s not just about work. Everyone genuinely cares about each other, and that makes a huge difference. Plus, the company is growing fast, which means there are loads of opportunities for everyone to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. It’s a place where you’re supported every step of the way, and that’s something special.
