Hi Karen, Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?

I am Rental Admin Manager for Ford Motor company in the UK and Ireland. I manage all contracts, deals, payments and daily operations while supporting the rental account managers , dealers and customers. I have always been based at Ford headquarters in Essex.

What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
Prior to my role at Ford, I worked at Visteon purchasing TFT screens and peripherals for the in-seat entertainment systems for Ford Galaxy. Prior to that my career has been largely IT, Purchasing and Video production.

How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
It has been a genuine pleasure working at Nexus. They are one of the best employers I have had since I started working in the UK. I have nothing but good things to say about the management and people.

What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
I love the challenges and I get great satisfaction when I can assist a customer or dealer and bring the issue to a favourable conclusion. I have always loved busy work and I am very fond of a spreadsheet or 100! I am always trying to improve my processes and develop ways to present my work more effectively and I love working with such a lovely group of people. I’ve had many teams and managers over the years and it gives me great pride to still be friends with the majority of them even if they have moved on from the rental world.

What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
They are known in the business as one of the leading companies in the automotive industry. I take pride in telling people that I work for One Nexus.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
I love entertaining and cooking, in the Summer you can usually find me preparing to host BBQs for friends and family. I adore spending time with my husband and my gorgeous boys (our yellow labs) and I enjoy theatre and fine dining.

Finally, what is one thing you would like readers to know about yourself or One Nexus that they might not know already?
I was born in New York and raised on Long Island. I moved to the UK 36 years ago this year and never had the desire to go back. I love living in the UK. I also have a passion for Lego but have run out of room!
